Alessandro D'Aloia was born in Rome in 1966. In 1980 he took a degree in solfeggio under the direction of M.° Francesco Rizzo. He then attended a course in percussions for 6 years at Conservatory of Frosinone. From 1984 to 1986, he has studied drums under the direction of M.° Ettore Mancini. From 1992 to 1994, he has attended the Armonia Jazz course with M.° Riccardo Biseo. From 1992 to 2000, he attended a Big Band course, at

the I.A.L.S. in Rome, under the direction of Cicci Santucci and Gianni Oddi. In 1995, he went to New York where he studied under Tommy Campbell. In 1998, he was in Rio de Janeiro where he attended courses with Robertinho Silva. In 2004, he went to Brazil once again, where he studied with Nenè and met Nanà Vasconcelos.While in 2006 he studied Argentine music styles with Marcelo Perea. From 1992 to 1996 he performed abroad in Romania, Egypt and the

Caribbeans. Back in Italy, he started several collaborations with TV channels such as: "Forza Papà" with Jerry Scotti, and "Buona Domenica", aired by Canale 5; "Uno Mattina" for Rai Uno; "Harem" and "Rai Educational" for Rai Tre. He took part in the Italian tours of Baraonna, Righeira ,Schola Cantorum, Raffaella Cavalli,  Gianluca Guidi , Edoardo de Angelis , and Tete’ & Sara Alhinho. He is much active in the educational field too, working in several schools in Rome: Saint Louis College of Music, Ritmix Drumming School, Percento Musica, U.M., Ladybird, and Ciac Bambini, where he gave classes, labs and seminars, and editing educational pages on a host of specialized sites such as : Drums Portal, Drummers United and Different Lands. In 2003, Percussioni magazine published the interview "Different Drumming" (May 2003), edited by Giorgio Borghini. In 2005, Alessandro started collaborating with this same journal by editing some interviews himself: "Al servizio dei migliori" (January 2005), "Contemporanea" (April 2005), “Contando historias” (February 2006) , “RMV” (May 2007),  “Os Tambores de Tocantins” (Jeanuary 2008) and ” Quando l’Abito non fa’ il Monaco “ ( Percussioni – May  2009).

He played for several musicians, among which: Gianni Oddi , Cicci Santucci , Danilo Terenzi , Marco Tiso, Barbara Casini , Eddy Palermo, Karl Potter , Jerry Korman , Agostino Di Giorgio ,  Karen  Jones ,  Clem Ashford , Mike Stern , Arold Bladey, Alfredo Paixao , Gilson Silveira , Salome' de Bahia , Rodrigo Botter Maio, Saleh Tawil , Abdalla Mohamed ,  Hossim Ata , Joseph Fargier ,  Carlos  Sarmento, Miguel Fernandez , Claudia Salomone, Aki Montoya , Neto Salles, Dimas Camargo , Chico Miceli , Alvinho , Ney Portilho,Nando Curti , Roberto Taufic.
